I just looked up the zai company. They have a ski with a fuckin granite core. Wouldnt that shit crack pretty easy?! And if it didnt wouldnt it be way too stiff?? Honestly fuck this company lmao.

Ok if you think about it though, if you crack the granite core enough, you’ll end up with a sand core..

They keep trying to sell having weird as materials in their skis as some revolutionary bullshit. They even have a ski that literally has a slate stone top sheet. I would imagine when the slate absorbs moisture it would get soft and start chipping like mad.

I don’t think they sell any product, I could imagine the company dying out pretty soon.

I'm very curious to how these skis feel now. I want to try them. Also how does a shop drill into a fucking stone material when mounting bindings without sending cracks everywhere lmao. This is the craziest company ever

You can drill through granite without cracking it that’s no problem, the ski flexing on the other hand…
