I don’t have Instagram, but trying to make a website like snowshare.

Super simple to use and doesn’t require a log in. You just post what you have, and a way to contact you. Sorta like skiers only craiglists. But idk if people would use it enough to sit down and make it work

I prefer this but unfortunately this has been proven to be the wrong model. The reason Snowshare is so popular is because its on Instagram an app people are already using a lot. While the NS buy/sell page for example has significantly less traffic because it requires using a different website to do the same thing as Snowshare, something most people wont go through the trouble of doing. In a broader sense this falls back on the problem that the younger generation of skiers (I am one of them) have such a short attention span that using a website like NS or watching long form edits isn't a quick enough dopamine fix compared to the endless bit sized clips on Instagram and TikTok. So as a result quickly tapping through Instagram stories with ski gear for sale is the preferred method despite it being worse then the alternatives.

Def true, I was gonna make it as simple as possible, and similar to stories. I don’t have Instagram and sure tons of people here don’t too.

BST fails like you said because it requires

A login to website, a wonky message system, and a long form to fill out.

I was planning on super easy interface, no login at all. It will be similar to stories, where posts only last 24 hrs, messaging is placed outside of the page, and only one item per post. Easy url to find it also.

Cause one gripe I have when I had Instagram was scrolling through stories to find something specific. And by letting users make the posts, it will cut out a tedious thing like posting everyone’s story.

I might still make it for fun, but I agree with the younger gen wanting easy, and Instagram everyone of them have it.

Most kids who are on tiktok aren't gonna be the ones buying gear anyway because that would mean they money and 95% of them still live off their parents income.

Most adults and normal people with expendable income are able to fill out a few cells and sell gear + ship gear in a normal manner.

Yea it does 100% but he doesn’t want other moderaters to help. Not even random people but people he knows and trusts.

Snow.share account is a sub account of arsenic. (Same password, same email, same phone number). That’s why I can’t have anyone else. Made it like this out of convenience threee years ago. Never expected to be in this position.
