Which skis for keystone?

whats up NS. Its another typical “which skis?” thread. Need help looking for a 90-105 all mountain ski with some flex to it that i can take in the park.

I am 5’11, 150 pounds pretty aggressive skier. I live and work at Keystone so I ski 3-4 times a week. Looking for something i can take in the tree and rip some side hits but also playful and buttery cause I want to start learning rails at A51.

Kinda narrowed down to either the Revolt 104 or Surface Giv’r. Both seem great just cant find much about Surface. Heard revolts can be a little stiff.

any suggestions or anything would be tittys. Thanks fellas!

I used to ski surface givers. They are easily my favorite pair of skis I’ve ever ridden however they aren’t as soft as they say. I think the website puts them at 4/10 for stiffness and in reality they’re prolly around a 6/10. They’re a super fun all around park ski, I’ve landed some pretty big stuff on them on 50+ ft jumps. Pros throw triples on them all the time. They’re good for buttering if you know how to butter (they’re not like vishnu wets where u can just kinda lean and the skis butter for you). Mine only lasted about 40 days where I finally snapped both on the same slam but at that point they had a ton of edge cracks and core shots.


tldr solid ski, they are stiffer than advertised and surface isn’t known for their durability.

I love my surface uppers. I def don’t go as hard as schizo, but I did ride quite a bit of park on them, like ~35 days and they have held up great. No edge cracks even. One of the tips is a little separated where the edges meet. They’re advertised as a 6/10, but they’re decently rockered so I have no problems buttering on them. I think my next pair of skis is gonna be those in a longer length.

You mad man. Jesus christ both on the same slam? That sounds absolutely brutal but also would be fun to see. Would you say the givers are more park focused? Looking for something i can fuck up the whole mountain with and take into the park every now and then

Not bad, everything ive heard said that surface durability is shit but those were all threads from like 2017 so i think they stepped it up. Are the Uppers a good all mountain stick?

If you can spare the money anything from Moment around 100mm underfoot will do you well and last a while.

Here ya go. And yeah they’re definitely more park focused. I second the uppers tho they’re more all mtn focused ski and I’ve seen ppl do some crazy butters on them. Or have u considers vishnu wide ?

Totally forgot about moment. Heard great things about the frankenski and the wildcats. Might have to check it out

Oh hell ya hahah a little too much send. I think uppers are a little more what im looking for. Was gonna get a pair of wides but they only have 183s which i feel like are a little too long for me. I could just be a tard tho

The uppers are a perfect all mountain ski imo

Surface it is. That one guy mentioned moment and the wildcat looks nice but heard they are stiff and those space topsheets are kinda lame. Probably Gonna pull the trigger on the uppers. Thanks fellas

I ski in ohio and only hit rails and I bought surface 2022 givers. Within the first 10 rides I got edge cracks and my top sheet was coming off a little. I detuned them and I get a ski will get edge cracks, is it normal for them to get cracks that quick.
