South Koreans did it again

About 8-9 years ago I remember buying my first piece of clothing from a South Korean brand called “Ehoto”. Made better hoodies for skiing than tall t and had a stacked team of sponsored athletes. Just stumbled across dimitio_positivemind, looks like another SK gem but this time outerwear. These designs are incredible, but can anyone vouch for the quality? I know they are probably legit, they sponsor a few dudes, but everything seems super cheap. $250 for snow pants or a jacket in todays economy is pretty cheap, but it is it warm enough and nice enough to actually be considered a bargain? Let me know, really wanna pull trig on some of their stuff.

Dunno, but haven't seen a Gore-tex licensed product that wouldn't be of at least decent quality.

Can't comment on Dimito's quality but I am into the SK outerwear scene. A couple other brands that I have found on instagram are qmile.seoul, specialguest.co.kr, and gafh_official. Currently I am rocking a kit from gafh_official. Quality isn't great but so far no seams have ripped, and the zippers still work. Worth it to me considering I paid $300 total for jacket and pants.

the dimito jackets and 686 jackets have the same zipper pulls, is that a common zipper pull now? also really like the look of that dimito VTX jacket

Northface is overpriced no doubt but acting like $250 is cheap is hilarious. It's funny ns draws the line at clothing but scoffs at paying an extra $200 for skis

$250 for goretex pants is on the cheaper end, most brands low end goretex pants are $280-300ish if you get outdoor research/mountain hardware/patty-g/arcteryx pants its going to be about $400-650. Not going to pretend $30 is a huge savings but it is something and the pants look cool

I guess if you're trying to buy some hella waterproof gear for the pnw it makes sense but otherwise most people don't need some 20000mm clothing (I know I'm the minority. There's a difference between need and want tho). The cheap ass shit works for most scenarios and what is really funny is half this overpriced stuff ends up at goodwill where I can buy barely used for $40. People on here were arguing about gas being $4 ruining their lives last year but don't blink twice at dropping a G on an outerwear setup. Absolutely nonsense. Again unpopular opinion I know.

Not to mention half y'all are literally spending more than a paycheck on outerwear oof
