I'm pretty interested in this ski. I have never owned a really stable chargy all mountain ski and I'm used to holding on for dear life as I straight line icey chop in 189 Wets on the way to the park. What's the ski like? Does it carve nice on ice (East Coast)? What size should I get (I'm 6'1'') Do they feel heavy?

I'm 6ft 2 and ride a 186 in the Jeff 108. I ski the east coast and they don't feel heavy at all.

The Wrenegades are insane.
I used to go to SIA / OR every year and demo as many of the next seasons skis as I could.
They are the most stable ski that I have ever skied on, in any condition, and it's not even close. Not the best ski for deep powder, but rip through chop, mank, ice, moguls like they are nothing.

^provided you have the legs to keep up with it. Otherwise you’re in for the rodeo ride of your life. Check the turning radius on them and make sure that’s up your alley first, or you’ll constantly be forcing it into a turn shape that it doesn’t want to make. BTW - I found this out the hard way. I’m more of a Kartel/Jeffrey guy than a Wrenegade guy.

Get the Woodsman 102. Most underrated ski in ON3P line.

If it skis anything like the wrenegade 96, it will carve fantastically. I find myself grabbing this ski 95% of the time, regardless of conditions. I'd imagine the 102ti to be an even more damp and stiff version that still kicks ass. The weight between the 96 (old models) and this are nearly identical. Definitely don't feel heavy but also not noticeably light- just right imo.
I have the 96 in 179cm because it was a steal and the only one left. Was skeptical at first given the shorter length but I actually like it a lot. Super nimble for tight spaces without feeling too short. Still feels good and provides confidence at high speeds, going airborne, and landing. Mounting at rec keeps a good amount of ski in front of the boot so they don't feel super short. They're measured after pressing so it's a true 179cm, equivalent to 181cm in most other brands. The rocker of on3p is delicious so 102mm is gonna be more than enough for most days.
I'm 6' tall, 180lbs for reference.
Never skied the woodsman but it's worth taking a look at too.
Edit: really depends if you like super long skis and how nimble you wanna be. 184 is a nice length but 179 ain't bad either.

189 is super big dick energy for a directional ski. Would be a beast but also could be challenging in tighter areas if you like to ski trees and don't straight line em.
All times are Eastern (-5)
