Helmet that has a cutout in the foam for goggle strap under?
I think I saw a NS post last year that there is a giro helmet which has a foam cutout under the helmet for a google strap so you can comfortably wear them under your helmet, is this a thing and if so what er they called? Otherwise how do people comfortably wear them under their helmets?
Just pull the strap tight and put the helmet on.The strap will push down naturally. Notice the clips aren’t under the helmet which seems to be a complaint for most. It’s completely comfortable.
Google clips have to be under the helmet to be comfortable, I used to have them up a bit higher and my head would hurt an hour in so I pushed them down a bit and it’s better.

I usually don't wear em that low. I usually tuck the back of the strap behind the helmet tightener doohickey in the back and then bring the sides of the straps up as much as I can mostly for a better seal

There's 3 layers.
1. Skullcandy headphones jammed underneath*
2. Goggles
3. Hemet
*Skullcandy headphone band can go in front between goggle and helmet.
I’ve started going over lately since I got new goggles/helmet but this is how I always wore mine. I use to pull the strap up and behind the brace (or whatever it’s called) of the helmet

It's so funny that you guys are literally removing the protective-aspect of your helmet just because you don't want to be called a poser for wearing goggles around your head. Holy shit are your minds warped from being angry at social media skiers or what?
BradFiAusNzCoCaWow I’ve never seen that but looked it up and looks legit. So basically it’s just a strap? How do you get fit right?
It's a wee bit tight on me, but I have a biggish head (7-3/8 hat size) but I wear a Medium Giro Ledge/Smith Maze helmet. With my Smith goggles I just took the strap off/apart and sewed it back together to get the size I wanted
I don't have a better pic of em cause I dropped my old phone in a lake

Why is everyone here pretending to be surprised and upset over something that has been around since park skiing became a thing?
Growing up that was just how you wore them. You guys think it's about being "cool" but really it's just apart of the culture.
It's like complaining about short poles, baggy gear, or a sticker covered helmet. Perhaps most ppl here aren't big into the terrain park which is fine.

This isn't accurate. Back in the day (90's and early 00's) helmets weren't used as often and when they were used it was goggles on the outside.
It 100% started purely for the look and kids would wear on the inside exactly for the reason of being 'cool'.
It's comparable to wearing goggles backwards. Because of Henrik I now see people wearing goggles backwards even in conditions where it's just straight up painful to ski without goggles. Someone started a trend (unsure who did it for goggles under) and kids followed to be 'cool', irregardless of it sacrificing function and comfort.
Any time someone looses comfort and functionality for fashion it's fair game to make fun of.

Nah, you can’t just group 100% of goggle under skiers into one category. You’re assuming too much. Everyone does it for their own reasons and I still don’t think people are doing it to be “cool”.
Goggles under is comfortable and fully functional, you just don’t have the right gear for it or don’t know what you’re doing.
I feel that this is less about goggles under and more about “park skiers” vs “non-park skiers” who just don’t get it.

It’s not fully functional though that’s what everyone is saying to you. If you’re gonna wear goggles under don’t even bother with buying mips lol. If you don’t mind getting concussions that’s fine, you can wear a helmet only for the sake of protecting against skull fractures, but you are literally lying when you say it’s fully functional to create a barrier between the mips liner and your skull. You crank the adjustment wheel thing to fit your skull perfectly for a reason lmfao
Also your method looks like it actually keeps the mips liner around the back of ur dome, but I’ve tried wearing my gogs that low and it’s uncomfortable af and kinda looks goofy. It looks as goofy as goggs over if we’re being honest, so at that point why even do it

Gotcha yea I understand. I don’t have a mips helmet, I’ve got an older version POC.
Whether I’m wearing goggle over or under the helmet is in the same place with the same padding.
I have a theory that people started wearing them under because someone(s) somewhere didn’t wear helmets and, at the contests, the contests were like “you gotta wear a helmet”. So they were like “fuck it” and put the helmet over everything just for the contest.
