it was ok, rained the whole damn time, but no supprise Mr. Monk won (manitoba reprezent) with a switch rodeos 7 and 5s, I dont even know who got second or third, on video I'v got some poor dude doing a rodeo/flatspin 9 to one of the dirtiest bails I'v seen in a long time but he was ok.

Ya, so i found it weird that in order to get 4th or 5th or so you had to only stomp one trick, and to get 9th or 11th or so you had to stomp two. Very weird indeed.

yeah judging was a little screwy.. because i was skiing the worst i've skiied in awhile, and i placed 18th?? like i ahve no idea how i beat 5 guys. and i was talking to some of the guys who placed higher up. the judging did seem a little outta wack. mind you i do think monk owned that competition, he desered it. hes a really nice guy too.,

i watched it all i had this dope little tent set up with bamboo pole and and rain poncho as a roof so i could take picture....anyways i rifled of a whole roll at the comp soo ill get them developed when i get back to calggary and post them up.

I think marc secord should have placed in the top three at least....he got fourth...but his corks were so smooth....i don tknow why he didnt get a better score

Yeah those of Marcs were pretty smooth, but I dont think he really stomped either of the D/corked 9s. Thank landing wasnt liking the fakie landings.

yeah thats the bad part from where iw as sitting i couldnt see the landing so enjoyed the tricks more without having to see the grossness of the landings....
i got the picture developed and they turned out pretty good considering it was raining and there was no light...
the jump was super steep with a steep ass landing..

Marc's tricks were tight. But he didn't land em. I threw two 3 safety's and a 5 safety off the big table and these chicks and one other guy who threw nothing but spread eagles and straight airs off the small rinky dinky table beat my ass... I'm so embarassed. lol

hey my friend shot the whole comp even in the rain, and I just saw the footage. Secord's first jump is so dope a cork 7 blunt, grabbin right at the tip of the tail and he stomped it no question about that. His two cork 9's (one indy and one blunt he landed and rode down then hit the slush and fell or atleast that's what it looks like from the footage. Monks jumps were all inverted so switch rodeo but super good. And man were there alot of huckers at fernie you could make a whole crash section out of this footage. It looked like a super dope comp though, hopefully I can make it to lake louise.

Judging was whack. The 1080 was ugly, and he got 2nd? Brutal... Mark missed his grabs on 2 of his jumps so thats probably a factor in his score too.

i dont throw 3's because i am a pussy, i ripped a knee a few years back and never got the nerve back to do them. and you think i talk smack. fine. believe what you want. if you were paying attention i ate shit on my first practice hit and threw out my back. but i still competed and as for not hitting the big jump. i didnt feel comfortable on it. why would i hit something im not comfortable with.

yah the switch landings on that jump were fucked...i landed my last jump and then hit a hot tub or something and got killed. I watched monks last jump from the deck of the table...he landed it so smooth it didn't even look like he left the ground. He definitly deserved the win.
