Help! Transferring From Google Photos to Computer

I have 6 years worth of photos to backup before the year ends. It’s somewhere between 20,000 - 30,000 photos. After the new year google photos is deleting everything.

There has to be a simple solution to this. Is there no way to download everything at once over a day or two?

I can only select 500 photos at a time to download to zip files and it’s a fucking mess so far. Zip files missing photos, videos breaking down into multiple files, crashing, files not copying and just general fucking bullshit.

Thanks, I started it a few hours ago but apparently it will take days or even weeks. I have until Sunday 11:59pm.

I’ve also heard issues about it crashing and not working properly so I don’t know if I should count on it working

Why is Google Photos deleting everything? Does this apply to everyone? First I have heard of this.

I have a university email account tied into google photos. It’s a school email issues so you’re good

after I graduated the first thing I did was transfer all accounts off of my school email to another email. The school insists that the email addresses will be good forever, but I don't trust those rats

Smart man. I fully committed, there is 50GB per year. Was very stressful last night but almost done
