Heading up to Monarch for the first time this weekend. Staying 3 nights in Salida. Any recs would be most appreciated. Also if anyone else happens to be there and wants to ride, hit me up!

If you want to meet an interesting character, walk into Tough River Stuff in Salida. Don't remember his name but place is ran but a really old school river guy with river and war stories to share. Loved having to stop in there.

Just spent the past 2 days there. Its great right now. Mirkwood should be open unless they are avy blasting. Ill be up there again tomorrow and I assume theyll have it open buy mid day. If not theyll have it open sunday.
