Recommend ski tech for (possibly) challenging binding mount

I'm moving from a 317 BSL boot to a 310 BSL, and am anticipating a
binding remount to accommodate the new shoes. I've got Pivots on
Dynastar Twisters that have been drilled once before for demo bindings.



I'll be in Boulder next week and am looking to get them remounted then.



I understand Pivots are pretty finicky, does anyone have any
recommendations for a ski tech in/around Boulder who you'd trust with
this work? Or is this job really not all that difficult and any
halfway-decent shop should be able to handle it well?

Yeah should be no big deal. If you are concerned, find a few small shops on google maps and read reviews there. Sort by 1 star first and see how many people's skis they drilled through. There will always be idiot reviewers so you have to be able to read between the lines. That being said, small shops usually have dudes working there that give a shit and know what they're doing.

and yeah this mount is typical shit, just bring them to the closest decent shop

Hell yeah. Or to look at it a less charitable way, we're the only state ballsy enough to cut bread half as much and slap some butter and garlic on it and sell it at a gimmicky premium.

Cool, sounds like I'll be going with the Google Review approach.

Just wanted to update and let y’all know I ended up taking ‘em to Alpine B&E. They’re kinda salty, but didn’t laugh me out the door. He was doubtful they’d work, but tightened down my Pivots all the way and said they were good

I guess the guy at Forerunner who mounted them set them at their longest in anticipation that I’d be moving to smaller (correctly fitting) boots in the future.

So that worked out. Thanks NS. Y’all always come through
