What do you think are some of the most underrated ski manufactures out there? Fatypus has been around for 10+ years, they put little to no money or effort into marketing, skis speak for themselves. A lot of OG's out there that ride Fatypus I've met refuse to buy anything else. Wondering if there are any ski brands you guys stand by that you think are underrated?
Pusu skis! Not made for park skiing per se but all mountain and freeride. I’ve had the chance to test a few of their models and the day my wallet allows me I’m getting some for myself.

Despite the meme, I dont hear many people talking about Sego. I use the big horn 96 about half of my ski days, and use my other ~10 pairs the other half. They're fun, light, carve really well, and have held up great. I've ridden a lot of comparable skis (kartel 98, j skis all-day, arv 96, nordica soul rider) and these are by far my favorites. I wish more people rode them so I could get another pair used for cheap

I'm glad you have something productive to say and not some bullshit sarcastic comment that's supposed to be funny like Jems up there. I've never heard anyone talk seriously about sego so that's refreshing, respect.
I actually am not sure of any right now that I'm confident are good but not known for being so- companies like Moment, ON3P and Vishnu are small but get a lot of love.
Maybe Desmond skis? Its a single guy in Massachusetts that makes some very interesting carving skis with unique materials- I know I know, about the furthest thing from your typical newschoolers' members skis, but cool nonetheless

Right now, I'd say the big companies are almost underrated because they make good quality fun skis in large quantities nowadays. Dynastar's M-free line is awesome, and The enforcer line is a good solid lineup of skis. Can confirm Fatypus is amazing too, I would love another pair of D-Sender 194s again, with a full twintip.
BigPurpleSkiSuitFor a more niche brand, Praxis has made some absolutely killer custom skis for friends of mine.
All praxis skis are great, Keith is a great guy and really strives for perfection in each pair. All hand made and have very tight tolerances in dimensions and weight. Supposedly tighter than most big name brands.
I like the topsheets Raccoon skis put out this year. They seem like good skis but they dont make a park ski so ill probably not get a pair for a long while. Would defenitly add some coons to the quiver if I start skiing more "all mountain".

Went to their shop in Breck last spring and its probably the coolest ski shop I've been to, super nice inside and they have a bar. Few of my homies have RMU's and say they are mint.

Can confirm the Fat-ypus hype. They have great spring sales and the skis are outstanding in terms of durability and design. I particularly like their 5-point models - it’s really fun to have a crazy tight turning radius (~15m!) on fatter skis!

Yessir! I have a couple pairs of El toros for a few years now still no damage on the first pair which is kind of incredible. Just got on some 5point BU's and they are sick af.
@Jacksparrow just bought fauna alparkas and they are SICK! They have the most camber of any ski I've skied but they still butter on the tips and have insane pop

I bought some BU's at the end of last year and they quickly became some of my favorite skis, ridiculously fun in spring snow. Although the bases seemed REALLY slow, even after just a day of skiing post-wax. A little concerning, but hopefully no issues with it this season.

They certainly are some spring slush bomber sticks and nasty in the trees. PM me if you still have that issue.
Instinct Skis from Rossland BC. I’ve demoed them once and they were amazing, pretty pricey tho but u get what u pay for. They have some wicked designs.
no idea how popular they are but shaggy did a demo at my local so i’m gonna assume their on the smaller side. demoed a 100 something wide all mtn ski and it felt very similar to my reckoners but felt more quality, and had a cooler top sheet

some friends took me to the truckee location last weekend while bar hopping. Took me a minute to put two and two together and realize the bar we were going to was the same as RMU skis. They had never heard of the skis and just knew it as a new bar in town. I gotta say it’s a pretty damn cool concept they have going.
Fatypus skis are the best out there. Using the Ltoros right now and they are easily my favorite pair of skis I've ever ridden. Hopefully will be able to try a pair of BUs.
