Haven’t logged in in a long time. Thought you guys might appreciate this. I don’t like the ergonomic style handles on snow scoops; it means you can’t push with your hips when shoveling heavy or wet snow. My solution was to chop it up with a grinder and then stick on some bike grips and weld it back together with my cheap flux core welder. Final step was some spray paint and ski stickers. Now I have a super efficient and way more comfortable to use scoop. Building booters and clearing the driveway just got way more fun👍. Anyone else have some shove mods they like?
ps final mod I might do is adding a kick bar out of a piece of cheap rebar on the top of the scoop so I can kick it when hitting ice; we’ll see if I get to it.

Lol heck yeah. Pretty sweet, did mine and the neighbours driveway today and it’s double the speed of a traditional snow shovel and half the effort because you don’t have to lift the snow. Yooper scooper for the win!
For anyone looking to get a little more power out of their scoop. Took 4 or 5 hours so not worth it unless you've got time. Find some scrap steel, an old broken down lawn mower and hopefully you have some shop space. Some zip ties and duct tape can help if you need to rig anything up. I would say easy-intermediate on this project.
