Don’t really expect this to go anywhere but I feel like every kid goes through a Pokémon stage when they’re younger. I’m still pretty into collecting but try to not spend too much money on it anymore. If you have a cool card post it!!

My grandma use to teach english in japan in the late 80's early 90's. When her friends visited her back home they brought gifts for the fam including a booster pack of japanese pokemon cards. I felt like the coolest kid on the planet.
I had a charizard and still remember the day I got it. Oh and that sick mew one from going to the pokemon movie. Once the fossil stuff came out and it got passed the original 150 i lost interest. I know my mom donated my binder a long time ago, would've been kinda cool to keep it around.
I wasn't allowed to have pokemon becUse they were pocket monsters and that was the devil. I bought some with christmas money and had to hide them from my parents. First hidden stash. Pokemon, a gateway drug.
As far as cards I liked my holographic beedrill and gyrados cards.
Idk. I remember in 5th grade we could have them out for a little at the beginning of class and trade them and stuff.
I def relate to Kyle from south park with my parents on this one.
