I think the role of a moderator apart from dealing with bots spam and guidelines should be to steer the discussions in a productive direction and not just shift to insults.
like I cant say Ive been super active on NS, but most times eheath replies to my takes, it’s usually saying that I’m not shit in the ski industry and he knows better. Is that good moderation?
once again, I have lots of respect for eheath. Guy is a legend in his own right, but no I don’t feel bad for him when people like biffbarf make it personal, because that’s what he does.

TheMoostafianWhen I was 18, I had to drive an hour in the morning to take my motorcycle license test. I had a 4 shot Americano on the way there and really had to poop. Unfortunately I arrived early and the doors were still locked. There was a porta john about 200 yards away, across the parking lot. Long story short, I didn't make it, shit my pants, threw away my underwear in the john and then stuck around for the 8 hour class/riding test and got my motorcycle endorsement.

i dont think there is anything to agree or disagree about. im not asking for censorship or any bs. trolling aside, i just think mods should be more impartial. for w.e reason, kids and others (even myself) look up to colored names and high karma as if its proof of legitimacy.
hypothetical example: you come up with a crazy opinion. people are gonna recognize it and agree with you solely because you have a green name. i think thats a slippery slope.
