3.5x9.5 vs 3.6x9.5 Drill bit

So basically I have a 3.5x9.5 bit from a mount, most skis I notice have a rec bit of 3.6x9.5.
I want to know if I can just use the 3.5 interchangeably with a 3.6. I’m pretty sure most drills hand drills aren’t precise within 0.1mm either way.
Any techs out there who want to chime in?

i say you’ll be golden with the 3.5 bit. remember to clean the holes well!

you will probably be fine. But personally, I would just spend the 10 bucks and get the correct size

You’re golden. Only when you go to 4,1 is it really a difference. 4,1 is for skis with metal

don’t worry about 0.1mm smaller hole, the drill will overdrill the hole size a bit anyway.
Definitely clear the debris from the hole, compressed air does it best.
if you’re wanting to do an optimum mount you should tap the holes with a #12AB tap.
