PsychicMigrationThis is true but we’re also trying to grow interest in the sport and something like this might encourage some women to come out that normally wouldn’t. Of course it would be way more difficult and many more guys in the pool. Making the prize money equal is reasonable but for the trick category and others should probably be representative of the number of people. Either way it’s going to be a fun time hope to see anyone that pops out at bush.

Professor-Modeloenlighten me as to how please
Christian_BaleI would agree with you only based on what I imagine will be the disproportionally sized fields. However, you have to consider the consequences of having a smaller prize pool for the female riders. It would be a pretty big 'fuck you' to all the women competing. It would basically send the message that even if a female skier pushes herself just as hard (or harder) than any other male skier, she'll get less money for her effort. It would discourage participation while having equal prize pools would encourage it. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I really want to see more inclusivity and diversity in skiing and I think it would be sick to see an event where the fields are similar sizes.

Professor-ModeloI understand your reasoning, but the whole point here is that you dont have to push yourself nearly as hard to defeat 15 people as you likely would to defeat 200. I could almost definitely guarantee that every single girl that podiums in these contests is better than me by a good bit, and ill still gladly watch the highlights and enjoy their skiing, but having two pools of competition with wildly large gaps in participation just doesnt make sense. If were talking about X games or olympics or world cup or any other contest in which there is a cap on the amount of competitors, of course , the prize pools should be the same. But the fact that one of the fields is massive, and the other will almost definitely be tiny, makes this situation quite different.
-DanHow do you know what the participation numbers are going to be? How do you know they aren’t capped? Want to be sure to have less girls then give them less money for the same set up and conditions. Want to encourage everyone to participate, then offer equal potential rewards.
your position is half speculative, half ignorant, and fully misguided.

Christian_BaleIdk man I think Dan summed it up pretty well. I think more money will lead to more participation and more even fields. Having less money is a step in the wrong direction
Professor-Modeloi can PROMISE you, financial opportunity is NOT what is holding females back from pursuing freeskiing

hdubsYeah and worse finances acively DISCOURAGES people from competing. There's already so little money in the sport let people earn a living for christs sake

Professor-Modeloi agree but i also think any female thats into rail skiing whatsoever is already planning on coming out due to the 1/10 odds of winning 4k for a nominal entry fee
Jemslet the ladies get the bag
BrotherBmodelo is right.
Last rail jam I participated in there was 1 female rider and 40 male.
The female got fucked up on a xl feature on run 2, broke helmet, still won first second and third prize.
eheathTop tier shit post from one of the worst members on this website, not that suprising.
This rail jam series is awesome, its what skiing needs and equality in skiing is key to sustained success.
Professor-ModeloI fucking hate you too, you 300 pound goblin

Professor-ModeloWeighing 300 pounds is a lot better for gaining speed than it is for living past 40 I guess

eheathYou know whats even more pathetic? You upvoted every post you made in this thread.
Professor-ModeloThe MOST pathetic is being too addicted to carbohydrates and fats to keep yourself physically healthy… lacking the discipline to do this in face of very serious health issues is beyond pathetic…
