lake Louise didn’t have much open because of the World Cup. They just opened up one of the back bowls after I left. So we went touring instead. There is a small park open with a rail line and a mini jump line, but little to no landings on those.
Basically by the skoki trail head. A little thin.
here is the half way hut. Much better coverage in this meadow.
Here is hidden lake. The plan was to go up either ptarmigan col or hidden bowl, but with some fresh snow and high winds the risk of wind slab and bad coverage drove us away from that idea.
next I flew out to van city for a work trip. Luckily I got to ski cypress for a day. Most of the hill was closed even though they got a bunch of fresh snow. There is a little park open with 2 down tubes and a wierd hip jump. Skiing some of the side stashes was good. Tight trees by western standards but the snow was light and fluffy.
Next up: blue is opening this weekend, and tremblant the weekend after.
