I like when the swap is done early. Doing a front 4 at the end of the rail and calling it a K-fed looks like shit 99% of the time. Superfeds look cool done late though.
it was just a (probably partly tongue in cheek) reference to how played out k feds got cause they're fun, relatively easy, and can look great. same kinda thing that motivated this thread, k feds had that kind of big surge of popularity that results in people saying it's played out
people take everything too far of course, idk if you were around for the "straight sliding a rail isn't a trick" era (it was fucking stupid, hard rails didn't get hit much for a while so everyone could jam some dumb fuck swap combo on little gimme rails). or another example is when people hate on front 2s, making claims like "there's never been a cool one" lol

Some tricks look inherently better than others. Of course this is subjective, but kfeds are one of those tricks where just doing the trick cleanly isn't really enough to get me going. It's like a 2 to fw, sw lip to fw, fs f2, etc. The trick is going to be pretty boring to a lot of people unless you add something special to it. I have a lot of appreciate for kfeds on more technical street rails or when they're done with a more unique style. I don't have the clip handy but Bdog did a beautiful kfed at kimbosessions I believe. ETG has one of my favourite kfeds. In my mind, kfeds are in a different category than tricks like lip 2 to sw, which is a trick i always like to see, even if it's not done incredibly well.

I based it on difficulty, I think the double scissor trumps any continuous spin. But under the blind double scissor obviously.
