Replying to December boulder trip advice

I am staying in boulder for a week in December from the 17-24th to visit some schools and hoping to ski for 5 days. Im from Maine and ski mostly park but hoping to do some other stuff too cause its my first time leaving the east. I am down to do some bigger day trips but hopefully not drive 3-4 hours every day if possible. Heard good stuff about A basin and have half-off tickets there but heard the park isn’t great and not sure if I can bank on the rest of their terrain for mid-December. Also not sure if I should go much to Eldora cause I’ve heard mixed stuff. If anybody is from there and has any advice on where I should go knowing I don’t have epic or icon currently and the terrain is probably limited for December it would be greatly appreciated.


I know there are a couple of other threads on this but was looking for some advice on places that are easier for transportation because I can't drive myself out there.
