I have the expert and I really like it because it retains some of the elastic still so the strap stays in contact with the boot cuff. You can cut one band (there’s 3) to make it less stiff too.
I swear by them now.
I really like my PatriotStraps "Tru-Straps 2.0"... It's a two part strap system, with one going under your tongue, and the other going over top, I've found that these lock your foot into the boot like no other

I second this. I’ve had mine for probs 3 years and they still work perfect. I used to have a normal pair of boosters and the patriots are better imo

If you want the benefit of both i would look into the atomic proffesionall dual strap. 2 straps, and elasticity.
i had a ransom booster strap thing. not a booster strap, but quite similar. don't remember the brand, but it was way better than the ones that were on my full tilts originally. it helped me a lot. i think you will be good with any, but go with expert just to flex on people and tell them you need them since you are a type 3 skier
Honestly I had the expert version on my previous boots and when I got new boots, I moved up both in boot flex and got the world cup booster strap. I didn't notice anything negative on the booster strap or ability to flex. It isn't crazy stiff or anything. It's currently the cheaper version as well on Amazon. You can always cut a strap off as others have said.
Your weight and skiing ability is gonna factor into which model you choose.
