Are Wardens Any Good?

So I recently bought a pair of Big Horn 106's and I need a set of bindings for them.

I have Attack 13's but after repeatedly ejecting switch the brakes are all messed up a the whole thing is just a pain to work with.

I was at my local shop the other day and asked the owner the same question and he kept raving about how good this year's Wardens are. I've always heard bad things about them.

So what do you guys think? Are the Wardens worth it? Or should I stick with Attacks or even Griffons?

(Primary use of the ski is Big Mountain I likely won't be in the park on them)

Try to cop a pair of sth2's. Wardens are heavier, have a higher stack height, and offer no extra elasticity over tyrolia attacks. That doesn't mean they're bad bindings, but they're low on the list of what I'd buy.

Depends, some people don't like the stack height and fwd lean they give, but the toe piece is phenomenal on the sth2 and better than the attacks. Can't go wrong with either. I'd steer away from wardens or griffons.

Attacks are still the best value binding on the market. I would put sth2 above attacks because of the release and I also feel more secure in them.

I don't care about the price haha, I got a 50% prodeal with salomon.

If you’ve got a pro deal on Salomon I’d get sth2s or if you care about weight and are less harsh on your gear, get the strives.The strive is the long term replacement for the warden.

I thought it was the replacement for the STH2 because it disappears after this season?

Didn't know the strive was the replacement. But yea I plan to through them around a lot, I think the sth2 is the move.

Yes 100% best binding ever will never pre release or break. Imo better than the pivot

Wardens are Imo Jerry bindings. Only department they lead is weight. Objectively not bad, the 11s are $199 CAD, so affordable for new alpine skiers. But every other binding has something better to offer particularly freeride wise

homie of mine got a pair for cheap and ended up liking them more than his marker griffons. he even got a second pair. they go for pretty cheap also

Are the sth2 grip walk compatible? I’m replacing an old pair of looks that aren’t and I can’t find anything confirming that the sth2 is good for anything besides Salomon walk 2 ride.
