Great city and you’re 30 minutes from some of the best skiing on earth. Like I thought it would be so sick to be around all these pros. And they’re honestly all just a bunch of losers who suck each other off just to feel something. Like they’re all so cringe and it literally makes me want to quit skiing and go die in a hole. And on top of that everyone there skis for the image, like god forbid they have to ski for a day without getting clips for Instagram reels. Like they’re all in love with the idea of skiing and are so happy to tell people that they’re skiers, but when u see those pros on hill they don’t look stoked in the slightest. The little fucking tight pant gapers who jump off the knuckles are realer than these new pros. They’re actually out there skiing because they love it and are having the time of their lives. And I’m talking about the younger social media heavy generation like my age. And there are so many posers here too. And that shit gets under my skin more than it should. All these people walking around in their stupid fucking arsenic and re-evaluate and they’ve never touched a rail in their life. I hated it so much that I started my own company so I didn't have to participate in the dick riding, which has reached a fever pitch in the last few seasons due to the video you mentioned and the culture surrounding it.
The next step for you, as it was for me, is to remember why you like skiing. The physical activity of skiing. Not the social aspect, not the "clout" aspect, just the act of putting skis on and sliding metal. The sooner you make peace with the fact that the ski industry sucks and learn to not let it effect your enjoyment of an activity you love, the better.

But I met a dude a month ago who’s pretty known in the ski world and he had just moved to slc from CO and he called it Skiing’s Hollywood. Never heard something truer. I feel like one of those people who moves to LA ten years ago to make it in the industry just to find out that all the people they see on the internet aren’t that great of people and that they’re all a bunch of losers.
