How moldable are the k2 boots shells. For example I have a skinnier heel and they tend to be wider would they be able to accommodate for that and mold to fit my heel better?
Can't really mold them smaller, Maybe look for some foam pieces to stick to the liner around the heal to help look the heel in, I found some stuff on Tognar that worked great for me.
The only way to heat mold and reduce volume is the Fischer Vacuum process.
Usually heat molding will just get you slightly more volume on the tight spots or alleviate pressure points. More room with pads and tighter buckles during the process.
Sorry for the late response. Yes heat molding will only ever make boots bigger so if heel retention is a factor you are probably best not heat molding the shell and instead punching or grinding if there are any hot spots on the shell. This way you won’t go making the heel and ankle area any bigger.
