Vail is going off right now. Our pipe is pretty sick, smaller than other big superpipes, but it is very smooth.
The first jump is small, but a good setup for the next 2. If you dont want to hit the small jump, there is a 30 foot flat rail that is on the same platform as the table. The second jump is a good 45 footer, and now has a steeper landing. This puts you right into a 40 foot table. Next to the 3rd table is the 45 foot trapazoid rail with a perfect lip for skiers and snowboarders alike. Paralell to this nice set of jumps is a nice rail section. Starting off with a small flat rail, then the high gap rail which is about a 6' step up that is about 10 feet from the lip. Very fun gap rail for spinning on and off of. After that is a perfectly smooth rainbow C log. It has been slid so many times it is almost as smooth as a rail. After that is a rainbow log that is super fun.
The rail park is still up with the sloped handrail, S rail, C rail, with a beginner A Frame, a flat box, a kink box, and a small beginner rail that is fun for learning new tricks. Of course the yellow schoolfunbus rail, a 45 foot rail that starts at 5'high and finishes at 2.5 feet high, so it is at a moderate slope.
Below this is a fun quarterpipe that is great for creative QP tricks and just fucking around on. Below that is a 60 foot table, but short landing, too short, ouch, too far, ouch, just right, sick. Last but definitly not least is a yellow incline rail. Starts on the ground, and ends 20 feet later at a height of 8', and the landing drops off for maximum height to spin off the rail. The XBow and Trap to Kink rails that were on the US Open course are closed to the public due to liability.
from 11am till 2pm the park is sick. The snow is perfect and the sun is shining and warm. Spring park riding is in full force.
