It’s about time we put the lord back into the slopes, with less talks about global warming and gender identity. Ask yourself, what would Jesus do? He would go on to love thy brother on the mountain and put all your silly behavior to rest.
I swear if one more of you fairy wand waving pixie boys brings up lowering day pass prices or kidnapping kids from the hood to make them go ski in some program then I’m going to go death con 3.
timdrachan
im dying over this they bring religion into where you should go shredding
I've worked there. Also it's in Lesotho not South Africa. Jesus needs to teach people how to read a map. Cool little ski area though, sick little park.
STEEZUS_CHRI5TThey actually have 124 ski and snowboard edits:
The SFS Worship and Ride edit feature some rap tracks about faith in christ:
Somehow the edit managed to be worse than the music. Impressive.
Also gotta love christian music. Make a christian version of anything popular. You'd think they could at least come up with decent original music if they want to change all the laws and have everyone follow their god. Also Jesus was a trendsetter. He for cool sandals, through the best dinner parties, hung out with anyone who was down. Idk what his playlists looked like, but I bet he listened to some jams. Be like Jesus, listen to the jams.
I'm fine with anyone wanting to believe in whatever religion they want, I have a problem with them forcing it on people who don't know any better ie what evangelical christians and mormons do all the time.

my partner is ex-evangelical and from the stories she's told me its some highkey cult shit, its spooky
Some people definitely go a bit loopy in christianity. i was raised adventist, and a lot of the good stuff jesus taught gets lost, and instead they try to tell you to obey what they say, don't question their theology, come to church in formal attire, when in reality its just about being kinder than necessary. dont know much about the evangelicals tho, but know some who are pretty chill

word, honestly I feel like so many of the aggressive christian types really lose sight of like actually what Jesus was about, he was literally just a hippie tryna love everyone but somewhere along the lines mfs took that for "hate everyone who questions you"

yeah what does that have to do with the religion? also christianity doesn't have any more percentage of sexual abuse than any other religion, it's just reported on by the media more because they hate christianity.

and they hate christianity because of all the sexual abuse and homophobic/racist garbage
I encourage you to actually read into it tho

it has to do with the religion because churches try to excuse this shit and cover it up rather than actually holding the abusers accountable. so it allows more people to abuse others because they see they will have no consequences
its not a case of "a few bad seeds", its literally the whole religion that enables this shitty ass pedophilic behavior
a few bad seeds gone unchecked make the whole tree rot
my beliefs are broader deeper than I can communcate in a thread, ive never even commented my personal beliefs on social media before, so i dont know the fruit of my comments here, but here's my 2 cents. i think the title "christian" or "evangelical christian" gets muddied because people wear it when the really dont have faith in christ, just faith in themselves. Pretty much just posers. Jesus even said that there are many who might wear a badge or call themselves a christian, but in the end he will say to them "I never knew you, depart from me." (Matt 7:22-23) There are many examples of this. Just look up the "reawaken america" tour; clear example of those who say they are X but deny it with their actions. Trump is an example too; he says he is a christian but also says he is not a sinner. But hear this from the Bible. "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." (1 John 1:8-10)
The problem is that we are sinful, and are guilty, but to me there is hope because Jesus took the wrath we deserve for our sin on the cross, and rose again, so that any who confess their sin and cry out for mercy may stand as righteous before God. Some people hate that idea, and I get it, but others find it as the best news, and want to share it with others because there is hope and redemption. I am weak, and thats exacly why I need my church community and the bible.
Downvote all you want, i dig the sillyness. sorry for all the "church hurt" youv'e recieved, some are posers who dont actually submit to jesus as lord, but even good people can be hurtful, ive expereinced my fair share of that.
Jesus definetly would have repped saga and been pressed at TGRevenueSearch and Unofficial Networks: pretty much the greedy, pharasee elites of the ski world lol.

I definitely know there’s a problem, not only in the church, but with society in general. The church is made of people who also mess up royally. There’s a lot of churches that do a really terrible job at keeping that out and addressing it appropriately, but on the other hand you have churches that nip that garbage immediately. It really sucks that it’s such a problem. But baseline what churches should be representing is the bible and it clearly stands against
All of that so, it’s really the fault of shitty humans being shitty humans.
I’ve been to hell and back in my life, and I can confidently say that if I didn’t have the love of Jesus in my life I would have killed myself by now. So regardless of how crappy some churches are, baseline, Jesus is awesome and he’s the ultimate example of love in a shit world.
