Hosting Events on National Forest Land

Has anyone here had any experience with hosting ski events (a rail jam in our case) on National Forest Land? I know there are permits required and I'm wondering what experiences people have had with the USFS and ski events

So far 50 people casually at the zone on the weekends have been easy to clean up after and haven't left any damage. As an organized event with permission, insurance, oversight, and rules, I think it would be even easier to make sure trash gets thrown away and no stupid shit happens.

It's prob best to reach out to the forest service, but I'd imagine some serious hoops to jump thru. Wouldn't be surprised if they required porta potties and things of the sort for the projected crowd. Could be wrong tho

This was my first thought as well. Seems easier to deal with state or even better private ownership/resort then the government

Any event or organization needs a special use permit to host an event on National Forest. Depending on where you are these can be pretty tricky to get. Its near impossible in busy areas

Fuck em just don't be an asshole you'll be fine . We literally have like 50 people sleeping on an acre for a month straight directly off a forest road in the spring never had an issue
