K2 reckoner 92?

Hey guys I decided not to run my poachers next year and sell them out.

I am not exactly in the best boat to spend $600 on a pair of skis that I'm gonna break in the park (that's all I ski). I am wondering if anyone rocks the 92's. I am looking for something light swing weight that has rock/feels similar to the poacher. Other skis I have been looking at are the surface snipers (also don't wanna pay that much as I heard surface skis have so so durability, for that much I'd get poachers again)... Yes, all park skiers break skis, especially when that's all you do, but I am in school for another 3 ski seasons and if I have to replace another pair I'd rather not each pair cost me $600.

Can I get 3 seasons out of the 92's?
Or.. should I ball out buy poachers and hope they stick me out for the rest of school (3 seasons). Had good success with my last poachers, I ripped the toe piece out and want my skis centre mounted (I know is not that big of an issue, but I also have edge cracks starting in the poachers).

PS: primarily trying to up my rail game, low swing weight preferred. Any suggestions? What do you "park rats" think about this?

92 is intended for teens or kids i believe but if your not super tall/heavy would probably be fine. idk about 3 seasons, everyones 102s been blowing up after like 4 days

personally i would just rock the current poacher until she really falls apart

seen a few reckoner 102s blow up after a short time of riding park. based on what I've seen they're fantastic skis but I would not imagine them lasting three seasons.

I had the same question a little while back and I actually ran into Colby Stevenson somewhere during the summer and asked him and he said that the durability on the poachers (if you detune them and treat em good) held up a lot better than his reckoner series... So im sure youd be fine with poachers, or just look on facebook marketplace for some beater skis and just go at it

I’d just remount the old poachers a bit back from center. The reckoner 92s aren’t seen much in park and I think there’s a reason for that. They probably wouldn’t last 3 seasons, especially if you want to be hitting rails.

Poachers for sure! I've had lots of pairs and only ever snapped one, it was because I came off early and went straight into a closeout 4 times haha

As long as you don't ski into any thing solid it'll hold shape. I highly recommend to try to swap skis over on your feet to keep a more even wear! When there is edge damage I'll make sure the bad edge or the worse one is on the outside of the ski. It's so you arent skiing on a shit edge but more importantly inside edges takes more impact and friction on rails so the damage gets worse quick

A little ski maintenance helps a lot just try go over the edges and by taking the metal burrs off it should minimize the edge cracks.

I'm a weirdo and I like to sharpen my edges but they don't really become that sharp but its more because I like my edges to be square. I am a solid rail skier over the years I don't notice the edge cracks as much but I think its the fact that I'm taking burrs off or maybe my ski technique has changed so I'm not as heavy when I land on rails.

Stick with the poachers, they will outlive you and your children.

Gotta vouch for this, I’ve been on poachers since 2020 and not a single edge crack. I’ve been intentionally trying to damage them lately and nothing works, I ride them through the parking lot, slide down stairs, throw them off balconies, and still mint. If you want longevity just buy more poachers.
