Anyone else feel like they have "hit their peak" on their skis. Like I'm for sure not as driven as I once was to try new things and increase my bag of tricks but I feel like even when I do try something (or relearn something) it just doesn't click at all. Basically feels like the yips, anyone got any advice or feel the same way?

I peaked in park at a real low point, ran out of ways to push myself on Midwest groomers, so I moved west and bought a touring set up. Next step is probably race dad.

Get creative with your ability, makes it way more fun and you start doing “new” tricks or whatever even though they’re not hard

I have had some progression in my all-mountain skills but I really don't push myself too hard in park anymore. It does make me sad to think about, but also i'm having plenty of fun without slamming myself into rails, so that's good.

yeah sometimes I feel like I have less energy than I used to back in high school and my first couple years of university. But I still learn new tricks every season so I just try to focus on the positives

I snapped my shin and shattered my ankle in 2021, I missed all of 2022 season learning to walk. I'm turning 30 this year and am still planning to throw down. Sounds like you're making excuses or you just don't have the passion that you used to (which is normal). Maybe just take a year off because I miss it so bad and cannot wait.

The best season I had was in high school and I kinda stagnated a bit during college, just didn’t have much time to ski. Tore my acl 2 seasons ago and last season felt more like a get my feet back under me season but I still did new stuff too. Planning on a bunch of progression this season, just gotta keep pushing

Progress in ways that suit ur strengths, you gotta be better at some stuff than others, capitalize on that and everything else will come naturally

go backwards more! 2 years ago i could ski faster backwards than i could forwards, then i took a nasty spill and am still building my confidence back. i’m getting juiced by adrenaline going 15 mph again and it feels great.

Hit my peak jump game like 6 years ago and I'm fine with it tbh. Been improving at rails a ton and have improved at skiing better in general. Never felt like I hit a wall, more that I found interest in other aspects of skiing.
