Hookups are nice and what not but all it does is establish that you both are satisfied with the physical aspects. Low (not impossible) success rate for a long term relationship. Possible to find someone that way but you'd have much higher success if you focus on the personality and life/career goals. Hookup is just an added bonus. I'd imagine that dating sites that prioritize the stuff beyond looks will help you most- not tinder, not bumble, not whatever tf other similar shit.

Always ended up dating coworkers/friends. Most of the time even when the relationship was over the friendship stayed. Doing either of the previous is good because before you start dating you
A. Spend a lot of time around the person and get to know them
B. See them in stressful shitty scenarios and how they respond
C. Get to talking and build some sort of back and forth
It's my opinion and only that, but I find the better relationships come from people you already sorta know
