SchoessIt's not really peer pressure to buy the movie, its rallying in support of something that's dope in the community. They always end up releasing it for free later so if some people can't afford it it's not like they don't ever get to see it.

Level1Every ski movie from 1990 to 2014ish was sponsored content and yet people still paid money to buy DVDs and iTunes downloads... Because the movie was worth paying for in of itself. There's a toxic expectation these days that good content is like a public utility. Turn on the faucet and there it is. YouTube and social media have poisoned us to expect good things for free. And that attitude will lead to the death of quality ski movies (and quality art in general).
Sponsor money in this day and age doesn't make anyone any profit, it just subsidizes some of the cost of pursuing one's passions. So if you want actually help Forre ensure they can make another movie, go buy Cast, and tell a friend to buy it instead of sending them the link.
