Dynastar M-Free 108 vs 4FRNT Devastator

overall, i love my m-frees. i rode them a lot last winter and in my experience they excel in a lot of areas.

(everything here is from my experience)

•pretty stiff ski (not the most forgiving), but feels super solid/stable at high speeds.
•can still butter on them no problem despite the stiffness
•they feel super poppy, feels like i can ollie super high on em
•float well in deep snow, rode some super deep days and the 108 underfoot worked perfect
•skis great on groomers, carves super well
•you can ski switch on em no problem
•charges through crud and bumps without a hiccup
•took them in the park and was surprised how well they performed on boxes+rails (detuned underfoot prior)
•they feel quite heavy, so spinning can feel a bit weird sometimes, but it just makes your legs stronger

I think the M-free will be better in pow and in between conditions, the devastator will be better on hardpack. Overall, I'd roll with the m-free because I tend to want a little wider platform

They’re both 108 underfoot. Devs are also reverse camber so I’d think Devs would float better. But Devs are also lighter so I’d be wary of it getting knocked around in resort pow that gets chopped up

I believe the M-free 108 is much wider in the tip than the devastator, but I don't know for sure

I’ve skied both at the bird and alta. As a base line of comparison, both are very chargey skis, good for blasting through post pow storm pile up and fulfilling the all mountain freestyle niche.

the main differences I’ve noticed is the full rocker profile of the dev makes it a tad bit more playful and easy to pivot on a dime, while the mfrees felt a little more set in the direction they are skiing, (whether that’s switch or skiing face forward) … at the end of the day they’re both excellent skis for tricking around. I couldn’t recommend either ski enough.. both really are the 1 ski quiver for a snowbird/ alta setup

If you have the money, get both. Doesn't hurt to have a backup pair if you snap something or tear out a binding or whatever.
