One ski mounted backwards, could almost see the confusion here if there wasn't a number right under foot. They also waxed them after I asked for them not to be, and they tuned my edges, when I asked for a detune. Not the biggest deal in the world especially the waxing part. Just frustrated

This is honestly the truth. The biggest leg you have to stand on, op, is the 183 is backwards. That’s a no brainer. It’s uncomfortable, I’ve had to do it before, but you paid the money with a certain expectation. Expectation was not met so they are, essentially, stealing from you. Just think extremely logically and it gets much easier.

If they’re true center mount it won’t matter, but the heel piece lifting off is a huge No No! You’ll pull your binding out of the ski and then you’ll REALLY be fucked, and since you didn’t point it out, their faulty work will be on you.

Tell them those are limited edition skis you just fucked up, luckily they can fix it but Have them re-do your mount, ask for a gummy stone to dull the edges again and just ski the wax off. Also tell them you’re not paying a dollar since this was clearly rushed or given to an amateur.

But can they even redo a mount at this point? The holes would be pretty close together
Yep, that heel piece doesn't look good. It's easily done with Attacks, they are a pain in the nuts to mount, but you can't leave it like that and the shop is clearly at fault. At the very least, you should get a full refund for all the work they did and some store credit or something. Unless they want to give you new skis, I would just leave the backwards mounted ski as it is, they are symmetrical so it shouldn't matter even if it's kinda annoying.
To fix the heel mount. Unscrew the whole heel, use a sharp knife or something to remove the volcano'd topsheet and then just remount in the same holes. As long as you screw the bindings down carefully and make sure you are using the same threads not cutting new ones, it'll be fine. I sometimes chuck epoxy in instead of wood glue for peace of mind when reusing the same holes.
For the tune/detune, I'd get the shop to comp you a file set and do it yourself. personally. For a pure park ski I tend to do a light detune for the tips/tails, leave a sharp edge until just before the toe/past the heel and then go ham with the detune underfoot. If you do a lot of nose/tail presses, take the detune further because that surprise death is no fun for anyone.
10/10, would not recommend only detuning under the boot.

Probably, the hole isn’t damaged it’s just not screwed down all the way. I am by no means an expert, but I believe this could be fixable.
If it’s not fixable, and they find that out after trying… you’re entitled to new skis. Really emphasize that these are limited edition skis they just gooched. Also, be super nice when you do end up speaking with them, it will get you so much further.

Yeah, maybe this is a job for your parents to handle because you're clearly too big of a fucking pussy to call out a shop for ruining your new skis. If the owner has an issue with it, maybe she can hire someone who knows how to actually mount skis.

I don't think they should correct it. Maybe I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the new holes will be within a centimeter of the old ones which would make them rip out allot easier

good luck kid, no shop will buy you new skis. they will say u signed the waiver and we might try to fix them. best bet is u might get the mount for free and the heel fixed. but for sure go in with ur peepee swangin and talk in a powerful deep voice and plan what u will say so u dont get nervous and mess it up

They should defenitly be buying you new skis or atleast a new ski.
I had a shop mount some griffons crooked and uneven as fuck on a Framewall. Couldnt remount them center after the botched mount. I went in and talked to the guy who ran the shop and ended up getting a pair of J-Skis. He also mounted them on the spot with the griffons. This was a big shop though owned by the mountain idk how a small local shop would have handled that.
