KilaTsunamiI usually blow the whole thing ngl I can’t say no to skiing shit
steez_apprenticeHow much do u guys spend on average per season and on what? Passes, new kits, shit like that.
elm.I've spent around $7k for the upcoming season. 5 new sled, 300 sled upgrades, 800pass, 600skis, 300 misc.
Without sled stuff I think 1.5k is normal for pass + gear

theabortionatorNot too much. Have gotten some deals on equipment the last few years snd a few things for free. Work at ski areas so pass is there.
Mostly just food and beer. Luckily Crystal hooks it up with cheap beers still. They were 4, went up to 5 but thats still a hell of a deal on a mtn these days.
Skiing is fucking expensive otherwise. If i didnt work in the industry Idk if I'd be able to afford it. Depending on where I lived. The old school small mtn vibe is going away. Even in the northeast. It's still way more affordable but not the way it was.
I get that it's a business and if you don't make money you close, but places seem more greedy in general these days. Props to all the mtns still giving deals, even a discount day or night ticket occasionally or some learn to ski programs for the local schools.
If it weren't for local programs, discount tickets etc, I'm not sure I ever would have started skiing.
If your local is for the people, support the fuck out of them.
BradFiAusNzCoCaSo far, I can count $770 I’ve spent. Pass ($520), Goggles ($170), work done on skis that I couldn’t do ($60), another pair of skis ($20). I’ll be getting a helmet too. However, I spent a lot more in last 2 seasons to rebuild quiver, etc.
steez_apprentice20 dollar pair of skis? How tf
chicken4dathotz$1k - legal settlement due to clearing out a family of 4 congregating beneath the knuckle
$350 - dark liquor
$351 - hammered overly friendly drink purchases for anyone in the general area
SessionI have an irrational outerwear addiction. But might carry over last years kit.
JacobthesadskierI don't live anywhere near snow, so i have to rent out a place for the season, so that's £1000-2000 gone already, plus a pass which is about £500-800 depending on where I go, plus food and other shit when I'm there. Probably somewhere around £3000 every season, not including any new gear I might buy. Basically it's all the money I save up from working during the summer.
