Since the vail acquisition I've been a little hesitant on getting a 7 springs pass for this year but it seems that nothing major has changed on social media and on their website in regards to their park, unlike Big Boulder. Do you think vail will keep 7 spring's park identity alive and do you think its worth getting a pass since I'm a student at Penn State and don't have any other good nearby parks to go to
I’ve been told that there will be no park in The Alley anymore because vail has deemed that trail to be “too narrow” for a park. That’s going to be a rather large loss for their parks if true
I was also told that they shut down the fabrication shop, so no new rails anytime soon
I think we will be okay. Our media managers still have their jobs and so do park crew guys. We got the manager from roundtop (roundtop got bought by vail too and their parks were fine) and apparently the guy likes events and stuff which could mean a continuation of stuff like steel city showdown. I’ve heard the rumor of alley being scrapped and moved because it is indeed narrow. I definitely don’t think the hill will be the same but I’ve been told by insiders that they feel fairly optimistic about the limited-future of the parks. I think it’ll still be worth it to buy a pass because the college pass is cheap and springs is the best (and closest) park in the area and will probably stay that way. Then again I’m not getting my hopes up and won’t be surprised if they change some shit. I’m also at Penn State feel free to PM me.
