Expedition toboggans and sleds

Hey guys,
Im searching for something to hull winter camping gear for some multi day ski trip. I found that carrying 50lbs of gear in a backpack isnt the most efficient way to travel in the back country.

On google, it seems pulk flooded the search results with ads. I cant seem to find any useful information on what to get. Should I go for a 1,400$ kit, or convert an 80$ childs toy from home hardwear?

What are some recommendations for you guys that use one? Im in Canada btw, I cant afford converting to US$ and waiting 4 months until they arrive…

Look for Hunting or Fishing bulk carriers... theyre going to be way beefier than a child play sled. You should be able to find those in Canada. Might still need to do the conversion, but it will be a much better sled.

Look up Pelican Sport - like the Canoe maker.

theyre a Canadian company I'm pretty sure... they make a ton of different utility sleds - anything from hauling groceries from the car, to tow hitch assemblies for brapp brapps.

otherwise you could spring for one of these bad boys... for 650 Canadian.

There are 2 models that make sense:

They both look up to the challenge, but are they really? I just hope they glide better on snow than a boulder.

thanks for the input! Im stoked on getting one and finally get to those out of reach peaks I saw in the distance.

I mean, mine is an old fiberglass utility sled formerly used by ski patrol. Not one of the big ones to haul injured people down, but a shorter one for hauling gear. I like it because it has tall sides that hold everything in.

it dragged a lot, so I just got some big teflon strips and adhered them to the aluminum "skis" of the sled and it improved quite significantly so you can always try that.
