BradFiAusNzCoCaI knew it was the grid. I used to go there for karaoke nights and then Friday was Caliente for the cheap chupacabras and raffle
I love seeing the grid still doing well. It's great that "the bar" refers to the grid 100% of the time in kb.
They did a nice job on the remodel when they closed in 2020. Looks nice. We watched some games yesterday.
Booze prices haven't gone up too much. Pbr is 3.50 now but for the location and honestly in general that's very cheap.
Sucks people are getting pushed out of ski towns everywhere.
My good friends in South Lake are moving to the valley. They have a sick spot of lakeview. Nice lil neighborhood by the water cool neighbors. Their lease is till may. Landlords wanted them to find somebody to take over the lease. Bunch of people wanted it because great spot.
Anyway they all got denied, even ones with good credit, $$ in the bank and stable jobs. Finally find out they wanted really rwally good credit and for them to make 4x or more the pruce of rent. Most people don't make 4x rent. At least when the spot is 2k. 4x seems like a lot as a hard requirement. Anyway the 2 people they found to come look at it both were from the bay. Nothing against them or moving to/getting another spot in tahoe to ski, just that it was shitty that people already living in Tahoe that wanted it and have stable jobs couldn't.
I guess north lake it's just hard to find a spot. If you have a spot you stay if you don't good luck.
Hopefully rhe ski areas keep upping wages to try and keep up with that. I mean they have to, but they've been pretty hesitant.
