Whitewalkers in sus conditions?

Another whitewalker thread. Great.

I tour Mt Baker, a bit. Conditions are not always pow. Often they are variable. Extremely variable. Typically pow up high and shit on the exit getting close to the car.

Anyone have experience on whitewalkers and kingpin 13s in shit conditions? If I walk up an icy couloir and try to descend on whitewalker 116 and kingpin 13 setup, will I live?

For reference, I currently ride 192 Kartel 108s with frame bindings. They are very confidence inspiring pretty much regardless of the conditions. How will the ww compare??

Keegan said in a pod that they are his go to ski in any condition, says he only doesn’t use them in street because he feels like it’s disrespectful to the ski, that is all I know

Whitewalker's are goated in shitty conditions imo. In heavy fresh snow the sharp tip and tail shape is great at not hooking. There are probably better skis for shitty backcountry hardpack but they are still plenty stable and good enough. short answer... yes you will live

Yes you will live!! I’ve owned that exact setup since the WW came out and it’s hands down one of the greatest touring all mtn ripping badass fun having ski setups out there right now! Ive pretty much only skied that setup in chopped up shit snow! Which is what we have here about 2 hrs after any storm and it performs exceptionally! I love how it handles in any conditions that aren’t perfect and that’s why the ski still is my favorite all time ski and the only ski I would ride if I had to choose one for the rest of my life!

Really? They handle ice well? I ride east coast so we don’t really get pow. Do you think they’d be a good choice for someone on the east coast?

They ski solid hard pack groomers well honestly!! Granted I’m in MT so I don’t any experience on Bulletproof east coast ice! So I cant guarantee they’d be amazing, And at 116 it is kinda wide but I’m definitely used to it. If u wanted to go a bit narrower just for more hard pack performance that new arv 106 in both the regular and UL are a BEAST!! They feel just like a slim WW and they’re a damn blast. So just food for thought

I dont really know if they will work well or not, but I just bought that exact setup, and all I wanted to say is that ill see you in the baker back country.

whitewalkers only suck in wet heavy resort pow day chop. Theyre amazing in variable conditions
