I am 5’9” about 140 pounds and I was wondering whether the Armada Arv 116s are going to be too wide. I haven't skied on many wide skis and I was wondering if these are going to be hard to control and too wide for skiing powder and doing some tricks in powder. I have park skis to ski park with so these will be used for mostly powder days. Thanks
For a pow ski? Not even close to too wide. It could be a daily driver in an area with generally soft/coastal/fresh snow pack. The ski is not really out there in terms of geometry.
Shouldn't be difficult. Softer flexing with heavily rockered tips and tail, you shouldn't have a problem just skiing them in pow. Only issue I see is you may notice the weight if you're coming off park skis. There is a lightweight version of the 116s (ARV UL 116) that I think may be more suitable for you at your height and weight.
