MaimHelpLooks ass regardless
Phlebotomist_damn i was hoping for an actual train of flat 0's
QuaggyI'm not too sure what I'm looking at here... maybe I'll call it a 360 backflip. I dunno though, I can only do flairs.
Get some poles in your hands and it might help you from lookin' like this on landing:
BkripNo it’s not. Watch my chest through the trick, and the hips. Screen record and slow it down
Michigan_SucksWatch your feet, they do a full 360 to the right. Your upper body doesn't matter.

SlowbroYeah flat/cork 0 is a fake trick it's just a back full that you start crooked.
BkripEvery flat 0 is a flat 7, just different ways of doing it. It’s interesting how many different ways there are to look at it
eheathThis isn't just for you, but the ski community needs to stop calling it "0" even if you do a 180 left then a 180 right, you're doing a full flip which is a rotation.
The trick you are trying to do is at least a flat 360, call it a rewind or a pretzel or something, but there nothing "0" about that trick. A 0 spin is literally no spinning/rotation.
BkripI agree, but what do you think will get more attention online. Calling a trick people know as a 0 a flat 3? Or calling it the incorrect name because that’s what people see it as?
DeebieSkeebiesI know you're stoked but thats considered a Full in aerials, dude.
BkripIt’s different than a full, a full is a backflip 360. I do a left flat 1 to right 180
BkripEvery flat 0 is a flat 7
Michigan_SucksBruh, you spin right the entire time. Watch your feet.
BkripIf you slow it down I spin 2 different ways from takeoff and midair. This was a while ago tho, from when I had short ass skis, hence the flailing

BLandzI actually agree with OP that its a flat zero. Heres why:
^thats clearly a left side flat 3 takeoff.
^ he is clearly spinning right afterwards because as u can see he is looking to the rightside and if u watch in slomo u can see he throws his momentum the opposite direction.
Pretty legit kid. Now whether or not its called a flat 0 idgaf and maybe its technically a variation of a d spin but the kid def pretzels so it is different imo.
As far as the thread goes dude, u got hyped that u did a rare trick and came off like a douche. Lets be honest, you just wanted to show off that u can flat 0 because only like 4 ppl have ever done that trick. Thats why everyone is shitting on u. Don’t worry tho, I think we all understand that u were just hyped and u accidentally came off in a dickish tone. You do seem pretty young after all. But NS keeps it real no matter what. Just remember that.
Very well done tho im impressed

As someone who has done a "Flat 0" I would like to clear a few things up
Yes the physics of how a flat 0 works is the same as how a back full is done however they are different tricks with differences.
A back full works by doing, (as an example a back flip and a left 3.) A flat 0 works by doing the same thing however instead of doing a backflip you set a flat 3 in the opposite direction of that spin. The 2 360s cancel out to a sort of what we call flat 0. I do agree they need a new name and there are still a few more differences.
They require alot more skill then a backfull because getting that back full type rap with the opposite direction flat set requires you to shift your hips in a swivel hips type of motion at a specific pretzel point of the flip around flat 90. This allows to generate that rap in the other direction.
if you do a really flippy flat 0 strait over head in looks like a backfull because thats what it is. but instead of going over head you keep your chest up and keep it at that oppo flat set to give it that 0 look
Think about setting a right flat 3 then wrapping right mid air. you'd call that a flat 7 despite the physics being the same as a backfull. Now what if you set a right flat 3 but wrapped left, what would you call that?

asparagusIMO birk ruud has the only « real » flat 0. Everyone else does it flippier on a smaller jump so the legs look like they rotate more.
Still cool, but it would look better on a big jump like cork 3s do.
