Looking for a good pair of either headphones or earbuds for the season. I had a pair of wireless Icons last season and the button to pause/switch songs was under my goggle strap to keep them on my head. I hear air pods stay in your ears pretty well but what other buds/headphones are you guys wearing while you ski? Any recommendations? Ik outdoor tech makes some good ones. LMK
I like my AirPods tbh. I feel like they are pretty hard to beat, although I haven't tried any other Bluetooth buds in a few years. I feel like there may have been improvements on other brands that could make them as good or better. Someone else would have to chime in.
I only ever ski with one in, so when that one dies I switch to the other and let that one charge. Never had an issue with running out of juice, although I only use them when skiing alone so I rarely use them for a full day. Also, when wearing them I always wear a balaclava just to be double sure they don't make an unexpected exit. Although I haven't been close even with some nasty tommys.
Honestly just the normal apple ear buds with the cords seem to be the move. I did the AirPods thing for a season or 2 and went through more pairs than I’d like to admit

Never tried wireless but I love corded apple earbuds. Sound quality seems a little worse but I’ll never lose them and it saves your phone if you drop it because the cord either hangs on or the music disconnects and you notice.
Not wireless, and somewhat expensive but my Shure se246's have been rad for skiing/everything. Good sound quality and absolutely 0 chance of them falling out even on a tommy.
Jaybird vista 2. I wear them a lot. They sound better then airpod pros and stay in your ear better. The button on the outside of earbuds means you can skip, pause, change volume and more by just pressing on you ear pad with your gloves hard. One issue is that the transparency mode isn’t as good as AirPods so talking to people is harder. Other thing is that your first time wearing them, your ears become sore after like a hour but it goes away after about a week. I run wired Apple earbuds if I want to talk to people and monster icons when I don’t wear a helmet.
Wireless is cool or whatever but I prefer a chord when skiing. I like to be able to pop them out or back in as I please and if they pop out I don't lose them. The amount of people you see looking for their air pods is impressive.
Not sure if it's supposed to be a style thing? Idk. I don't really feel bad when people lose them. Expensive headphones that can fall out. As far as style too not a big fan.
Im still old school... Ipod shuffle with skull candy wired buds. Can clip the shuffle to the goggle band and have full access without having to dig it out of my pocket.
Did the phone thing for a while but kept breaking the dongles. Went wireless but they were just too bulky and uncomfortable for me. Resorted back to the shuffle.
Better than the old walk man cassette player and the foam padded head phones,lol.
I've been using JBL225TWS for 2 seasons without any issues at all. The connection is stable, price is good, you get more sound than you pay for. I haven't experienced any issues with them touching snow or anything like that.
If you're looking for a wireless option, I'd give them a go!
Odt chips are decent if you have the helmets with the ear covers that have the opening flap in it. Can get the wired version for like 30 bucks, integrate into your helmet
I use the Wildhorn Bluetooth headphones and I absolutely love them. Before I used those I used the old wired apple earbuds and I still use them occasionally when my Bluetooth headphones die.
Wired looks cooler because it’s oldschool imo and they’re better for other obvious reasons, worse for some. I’d recommend looking into Sony, in my experience their earbuds have great bass if you’re looking for that. I have a more premium pair that cost 70€ a few years back though.

buy fuckin airpods the sound quality is way better, instantly pair w ur phone, and have an actual case that can recharge
After going wireless, I will never put another corded headphones over my head again. A cord just feels so constricting.
If your going over the ears go light. I went with a heavier, "nicer" set this year and they would get thrown off my head time and time again. I found a nice small light, cheaper headphone is the way to go.

Defiantly like the recharge case. Im thinking Bluetooth this is the way to go. Ik your not an apple employee (maybe your are) but im pretty sure there is a good warranty on the air pods aswell?

Do you only play EDM mixes on full volume in the busy lift line, especially when you are riding solo with no one else you know around? Do you offer minors vape/alcohol/weed on the lift? Do yell at your girlfriend in public?

Honestly not a fan of wearing earbuds while I ski with my homies because I can't hear people as well when I ski with them in. But when I do wear them I prefer the wired apple ear buds, because I've lost way to many pairs of airpods.

To me nothing beats the Jabra Elite 75t Active. They are waterproof and built for outdoors activity and sport. They will never fall out, have banging sound, and really good ANC. They last all day on the mountain on a single charge. You should definetly check them out.

I 100% agree, I lost a pair of airpods from slams this season and I had a balaclava and neckguard to keep it from happening but it still got lost in the snow, especially since they are tiny and white, if you drop and airpod on the hill, gg

I still think wired earbuds are the play, I've used my apple earbuds with only one in for quite some time now, and found those much better considering most wireless earbuds would die on me before my day at the mountain was done anyways
