Hey folks,
After watching new tom wallisch clips (#gopro) im left with a bad taste in my mouth. A itch is left unscratched. I want to see something unconventional from the man who shocked the ski-verse back in the day. But maybe the better mentality is to be happy that we can watch him ski at all, even though it might be lacking aesthetically.

I think skiers notoriously have bad taste, but should we expect more from from OG's? What do you think les gars

skiing is scary and dangerous dude. tom's done so much for this sport it's insane, be happy he's made it out alive and well-off. he can exclusively snow-bike from now on and i'll still support his movies

also he still can make some dope clips. i haven't seen the one(s) you referenced but i remember him def still ripping in his last movie

The fact that Tom still drops dubs being 35 years old is pretty crazy to me. I see your point and think the same thing a lot of days, but talking with a friend the other day, kinda had a realization that the people we grew up watching are just not the ones pushing the boundaries anymore. There are kid's that I've never heard of dropping quads. It's just time for me to accept that the younger generation has the torch now for progression. I'm just stoked that Tom's still so involved with the skiing community and I love him commentating on all the events.

Idk I think he might be a little over constantly pushing the envelope with park shoots, insane street parts, etc. Plus he’s getting older. If I were him I’d be doing exactly what he’s doing, he’s catering to the “influencer side” and prolly pulling in some bank for his own and his family’s future. Smart enough to realize that just because he’s not doing 4bi9 or level1 movies as much anymore doesn’t necessarily mean he can’t be super productive with his talent on both a financial and cultural spectrum (look at what he’s done with Steel City showdown and such).


I honestly wouldn’t wanna be breaking my body by still trying to go crazy hard nonstop, when I can just have fun and make a ton of money (at the cost of what is sometimes seen as a goofy ass northface kit lol) while doing what you love and enjoy life as a whole.

Cmon dude what the fuck does Tom have to do to impress you. Back when he was in his prime park skiing was still in its infancy and if you already think that skiers on average tend to have bad taste then idk what you expect from a guy at that age and who grew up in a time where the style was just not nearly as good as it is now. I am insanely impressed at the fact that he’s still so dope at skiing, I bet he would rinse this whole website in a game of SLVSH.

Unfortunately I agree that skiers on average have bad taste but it seems like its a lot worse than it actually is because the content that is most popular is usually the mid sty crazy trick type shit but theres def no shortage of dope shit in skiing you just gotta find the right people and a lot of them don’t post on NS and don’t have mad followers so it can be hard to find.

Lol Tom literally only skis because he likes it, and uploads on insta to find his lifestyle and keep him relevant within younger generation

He is like the only skier to actually make an honest effort to stay in the spotlight, most of them just pick up snowboarding and dip

If I were TW Ide be enjoying my big ass house, nice cars, and beautiful family. I wouldnt even be thinking about trying to film some crazy stunt to impress insta kids, thats Jespers job now. I also would drop a lot of the sponsors he has for personal reasons.

Damn. Unexpected take. Idk the guy was at the top of freeskiing for a long time. Let him get cruisey. Also Twally skiing "casual" is still fucked and stylish as hell. He's skiing because he likes it. He doesn't owe anyone anything but seems like a nice guy and did a lot for skiing.

Fuck anyone hating on Tom Wallish. The dude threw down some of the sickest edits of our time, was and is a awesome ambassador of freestyle skiing and found a way to progress his career still living his dream and being able to pay the bills with it. Then he literally peer pressures Dumont into making a follow-up to one of the sickest edits of all time. If he wants to chill and throw some videos of park laps for fun then he has earned the right. Dude has nothing to prove to you or anyone.
