AI generated images have replaced the job of many artists online. What purpose do these artists have in a world where I can enter a prompt to generate an image that is of equal or better quality than 95% of the online artists.

I don't think great art can be ai generated because it often reflects emotions and experience that an ai doesnt have.

I love art, but i love it even more when it comes from somebody who makes no money from it and does it solely out of passion (or the faint idea that they might make money from it)

I only buy paintings if there are tear stains originating from a severely malnourished artist that incessantly struggles while falsely believing this is the year he'll make it.

AI algorithms are gonna get better and soon enough they’ll be able to create good art that people interpret as “emotional”. If you can get fooled into texting with an AI you can get fooled into thinking a human made a certain art piece.

People still buy handmade pottery/ woodworking products even though we can manufacture them to a higher spec. As ai gets much more commonplace in generating images itll be interesting to see how people distinguish between artist made and ai made. The trouble with ai is that without good source material to learn from its useless and by design it won't break its own boundaries and guard rails without a guiding hand. Artists today are incorporating ai and working with data as they change with how the world changes.
