Replying to Moving To Van

So next year I plan on moving to somewhere around the Vancouver area and im wondering where the best living locations are to be relatively close to the ski hills but also not cost me a fortune. I plan on riding either grouse or seymore and I just started a millwright/machinist apprenticeship so if u have any info on what the jobs are lookin like out there that would be nice too. Whats a reasonable living wage to be able to also ski out west and not be a bum. Any other advice would be nice too.
