notyourmomssocksI been skiing on shitty skis, shitty boots and shitty bindings for far too long. I need new everything. I know this is a big ask but what do people thing is the best setup for touring and downhill (i.e. a binding and boots that can do both). The only thing I have is park skis so I'm looking for more of an all mountain ski. I definitely will sacrifice a little quality for a better price, but obviously I'd like to be able to use this shit for a while. Lmk yall's suggestions.
twinkle_toesDamn wouldn’t that be nice. Having one setup for park, all mountain, and touring!
I can’t imagine riding park in touring boots. But I’ve seen people do it
Definitely would not ride park in pin bindings either. Maybe the Cast Touring system would be good for you? Or the shift binding. Depending on how much you plan on touring, maybe consider daymakers?
For skis, idk there’s tons of options. Depends on where you live and what kind of stuff you’re skiing. 102 would prolly be a good sweet spot. Check out the most recent gear guide that’s on the homepage
BiffbarfWhat you're asking for doesn't exist. Get a good alpine setup (find last years model attacks/pivots/sth2's, and last year's model k2/rossignol/atomic/salomon/nordica/etc, then go to a bootfitter)
Then cop some used touring gear on the cheap that's only been used once or twice because dreaming of bc touring is usually more fun than actual bc touring for a lot of people.

notyourmomssocksso u think it would be more cost effective to get a resort and touring setup?

mattytruNot sure why people are confused over this, any hybrid boot and binding will work well for what you are describing. I use the CAST system for bindings (shifts and marker duke pts will also work well), and atomic hawx for my hybrid boots (dalbello lupos are another good choice).
hybrid bindings will allow you to tour, but also lock down for downhill usage, retaining complete functionality of an alpine binding. hybrid boots have tech toes to allow the pins of your bindings to be inserted for touring, and also feature a walk mode in the back, to make them easier to tour in.
DilldoesI've thrown a few cork 9's in my Dabello touring boots no issue.
I bought them for a touring boot and ended up using them full time cause they comfy as hell.
jompcockflex number is higher on their touring boots than they probably should be.
jompcockI have Lupo AX's and Il Moro's, both claim to be 120 flex but the Lupos are way softer. Almost tore my achilles skiing moguls cause the boot folded on me. I still love the Lupos and they lasted me a good season as m everything boot but they're touring only for me now.
Not saying they can't be do it all boots, just that the flex number is higher on their touring boots than they probably should be.
