Used a planer jig for the core so smooth, consistent and the same between both cores. Far better than a hand planer lmao

ajbskimaking a vaccuum press is really easy man. all you need is an old fridge compressor (free), plastic drop sheet for painting ($20), one of those chip bag sealers ($20), tubing (5$), the top half of a bottle (free) and a bicylce cable barrel adjuster ($5)
it just hard to control the flow of epoxy and base flatness in a compression mold like yours. especially without any heat.
i wish you luck tho. when you get them cut out and sidewalls beveled, take em to shop to get the bases ground on a belt and stone. the finishing makes the biggest difference in how they ride imo
