Schweitzer a good place to a spend a season?

Starting to think I made the wrong decision w a Schweitzer unlimited pass.

long story short I got a lot more freedom with my job recently and Schweitz/sandpoint area is looking less and less fun now that I know I can go wherever for the winter.

im used to summit and Skiin basin, keystone, etc every day and would like more of that this season.

lmk what you think

You’re gonna be 15 mins from skiing all Winter. Sounds like a huge mistake. Don’t let the regret ruin your season.

I might have worded it wrong, I’m gonna be skiing this winter no matter what.

moving back to CO sounds like a mistake, or spending a season in sandpoint sounds like a mistake?


just worried I’ll get bored of Schweitzer and won’t be challenged

Spending a winter mainly at any resort is always good. Yo get to know the mountain really well and all the secret spots. You will know all the speed for everything so you can focus on progressing your skiing.
Schweitzer is a big mountain with a lot to explore.

Travelling is always good, but eats up skiing time so if you want to get the most skiing in, staying in one place is best anyway.

WTF is wrong with you OP. Shweitzer is great and you are as close as possible to the real goods in Canada. Unless you marry a Canadian chick Canada is a tough place to move to.

This is one of the worst threads I've ever seen on here Colorado is awful these days.

Do Schweitzer over CO. Part of the fun is spending seasons at new places and exploring new places. Sandpoint doesn’t look too shabby either. I think you’ll be just fine

Sounds like a pretty good gig you got going OP. Schweitzer is a bomb place and if the snow is good, you are set. You will be in an area where lots of people would love to be, you mad a good choice. After this season, look into a different area.

i doubt you'll get bored of lakeside chutes before the season ends. also pretty good backcountry. not a bad choice at all

Those look fun as hell. I guess I was just hesitant because I couldn’t find anything online about Schweitzers challenging terrain.

i hit 40+ days at arapahoe this season and was getting worried I won’t be able to find challenging terrain like that
cyphersi doubt you'll get bored of lakeside chutes before the season ends. also pretty good backcountry. not a bad choice at all

i mean it's not abasin level terrain but you're also not fighting some wook from denver for a parking spot every morning. pros and cons but you're not gonna regret spending a season at schweitzer. it's a great mountain and sandpoint is super underrated

Tbh just planning ahead meant I rarely had to fight tards for parking.
cyphersi mean it's not abasin level terrain but you're also not fighting some wook from denver for a parking spot every morning. pros and cons but you're not gonna regret spending a season at schweitzer. it's a great mountain and sandpoint is super underrated

Yea true. Powder days got insane there. Y’all convinced me to rip schweitz and chill at sandpoint for the winter, let’s hope for fat snow season.
