Who else listens to electronic music (not just basic edm)
The not just basic was for the haters curious whatever type you do listen to, I went from lots of rock even like metal when I was off-roading with my dad and friends early adolescence, a decent amount of rap (mostly what was in edits lots of wu tang ) some biggie and then heard a pretty lights songs in TGR re:session i believe it was Sages segment mostly in Alaska and he went off and I’m like oh thissss goes off, so 12 years later now I listen to all over but lots of electronic stuff and it mostly started from ski movies, and satellite radio, anyone else? — Colorado guy who keeps buy bent chetlers even when they delam 🥲
i like the progressive house/deep house like lane8, camelphat, tinlicker, or basically just a couple spotify playlists and whatever pops up on there. It's a good tempo for background music, sometimes i listen to it skiing to
At work I need to focus so downtempo music with minimal lyrics is ideal. Mid 2010's did the whole EDM scene thing, lots of fun, great community. Skiing, ski movies, and the group of people I was chillin' with during and post college were pretty influential in my musical taste but I would say I started listening to electronic music pretty early.

This🙏 Tinlicker at forest was great and so was above and beyond and lane 8 at global a few weeks back; makes powder days extra ethereal
bentchets303If it’s “not generic” by definition of word it can’t be everyone lol… sorry about your bad molly plug though
* Didn't want to derail the thread
Was just joking about how edm people seem to always blast it.
As far as the molly, sure dude. Whatever you say. I've tested stuff for free or trades at festivals. Seen a lot of good stuff or from a trusted friend that wasn't. Even when quality stuff was coming in more there was plenty of weird stuff. Now the rc market has things pretty interesting.
Exiting thread now

Matt Walker's old friend from Aspen Andrew Wickes was big into the Colorado EDM scene back around 2008. He was a pretty legit tech house DJ and would play at a lot of clubs in Denver. Anyway, we would get free VIP access to lots of shows at Beta nightclub which was the premier venue back in the day. It was pretty sweet to be able to get in the back door for Benny Benassi and Deadmau5 etc. lol Walker would also get a few drinks in him and would see how many people he could convince he was Sean White. Wickes ended up moving to Berlin to pursue the scene there but eventually came back and runs a liquor store in Aspen now. I wish I could find Wickes' old IDM Radio mixes that used to be on itunes, he had some legit ones.
I listen to a ton of dubstep/dnb/house/weird downtempo bass/you name it, living in Denver is heaven for being into edm I usually go to a show every week. Honestly surprised at all the edm hate in here
DayManFred is the mf future I'm in love with that man

imma try and see him live next time he comes to the US. All his sets look crazy. His mixing and sampling is another level
Been listening to these. I'm bad with my subgenres so yeah. Obviously go listen to these on places that are not youtube if you don't want shit quality. I like hard stuff that sounds chill if that makes sense
Off the top of my head I can think of a bunch of other artists who make chill progressive house and trance, like Attlas, Lane8, Dezza, Spencer Brown, Deadmau5 (ofc)
Some artists that are in a different lane but still similar to the playlist you posted would be Big Gigantic, Ekali, Champagne Drip, G Jones
American "edm" culture is so fucking cringe. Good techno is based but most Americans think of fucking cascada and david guetta when you say you like techno
