yungspliffyJudging by the fact that he’s skiing at mammoth and hood during his senior summer of high school, im gonna guess daddy’s money has been a pretty big sponsor

WabbleDee95% of insta skiiers, but trust them they are hella hard and from the hood bro have you ever seen them chug a beer? They’re straight slum dogs and certified “ski bums”.
on a real note a lot of these guys are impressive skiiers, but most people would get that good if they had access to the resources and free time that comes with daddy’s bank account. Don’t take it personal.
drew.skiDude couldn’t even cork 7 4 years ago and can now dub 16/both way dub 12, pretty impressive regardless of the resources you have
S.J.WFuck me, airbags and those air bag landing things have made freeskiing so lame.
Back in the day you had to put in work and learn to be comfortable with one rotation before moving onto the next. Nowadays when you can 5, they tell you to take it to 7 without an fear of being hurt. And so on and so on.
Give me any afterbang era cork 7 over another boring no grab dub 12. Remember when the original freeskiiers rebelled against their racing programs because it was too organised, too many rules and no fun. And now freeskiing has the exact same programs with coaches, rules and zero personality.
asparagusOn the topic of airbags, I don’t give a damn about tech jump tricks anymore. It doesn’t mean much anymore to be able to throw doubles and triples on perfect jumps, the only way to stand out is to have style.
Obviously there’s exceptions like Matej and his wild nosebutter and some really big tricks because you can’t really learn those on an airbag but most of the time textbook doubles and triples don’t mean what they used to.
I actually think airbags are beneficial in the sense that good skiers aren’t being taken out by unnecessary injuries and it creates more equality for in big air contests. Back in the day, big air skiers from Eastern Canada would have to travel to train for big air comps but nowadays we’re seeing medals out of the East (especially for women) because of airbags.
DeebieSkeebiesI agree. These kids nowadays coming up need to become real men and develop CTE from brain injuries before they're 21
drew.skiIdk if you’ve been to snowmass before but their main jump line is pretty big… to go from 0 skill to trip 16 to the bottom of the landing of those jumps in 4 years definitely is impressive… who cares if the dude’s spoiled, I know people with that much family money that don’t do shit with their lives
