Summer Skiing Europe

Anyone currently skiing in Europe anywhere? I've heard Zermatt has snow atm. Any other places? I'd like to plan a trip somewhere mid august. Would like to know if its possible or even worth it.

I'd say probably isn't worth it, at least during this summer. I was headed to les2alpes last week when they shut the glacier early. Zermatt isn't looking much better, I heard rumours they might be shutting too, but don't quote me on that. Snowfall wasn't great during the winter, and temps have been really high. I'd recommend waiting a few months until October or so when things get colder and more glaciers open up.

today was the first day with the full setup open on zermatt (check snowpark ig for updates). decent but far from what used to be here couple years ago. the snow conditions are extra awful this year but it stays open through the summer. i'd say def worth a trip tho if you're in europe

I am bumping this thread. I'm between jobs and have some time off before September. Any news on how conditions in Zermatt are holding up?

New Zealand is probably too far for me...!

Zermatt just post IG pics of their park today. L2Alpes has a park, Stevio Pass in Italy just opened for the summer, they usually have some park features, but haven't seen pics yet.

We have a couple indoor ski domes around in europe for example Snowworld Landgraaf all the way in the South of the Netherlands is open all year and has a terrainpark. So does the Snowdome in Bispingen in Germany. Those are always an option if you are getting desperate 😉
