St Marys Glacier

I think it would be cool to get a some of colorado NSers to have a session at st marys glacier this summer. We could all bring shovels and make a jump and maybe we could bring up a pvc since it’s not too hard or far of a hike. Really want to send a cork 7 and can’t wait until November. PM me ur snap if interested and I can make a group chat and figure it out from there.

over the past ten years, the melt down of the glacier has been unreal.
if its possible to ski all summer, i would be surprised.....

I have heard that it's smaller but I also know for a fact that there have been recorded years before that it has completely disappeared. This has happened a ways back as well. It's technically not a glacier either, just a semi-permanent snowfield

I skied it the last eight septembers. There has been snow year round every time. Well, more like glacial ice.

I would be down. Although last time I was there, parking was an absolute shit show (this was during peak COVID times when everyone and their cat was out hiking), so that might be an issue, especially on weekends. Also, every time I've skied it, the terrain has been very uneven and hard as a Geodude. It might be pretty tough to get any good features going, but maybe the more experienced diggers can weigh in on that.

This is true. I believe it’s one of if not the most popular trails in colorado due to how close it is to Denver and how easy and quick it is
